Make a Gift of Securities

One of the most advantageous ways to contribute to the National Ramah Commission, Inc. is through a gift of stock. It’s giving made easy, and you may get a larger tax benefit than by making a cash donation. To contribute stocks, see our 2-step instructions below.

The easiest way for you to give securities to National Ramah Commission, Inc. is through an electronic transfer (DTC) from our Morgan Stanley brokerage account, which handles stock gifts made to National Ramah Commission, Inc.

Step 1: Notify the National Ramah Commission, Inc. of Gift Details

Stock donations are transferred without accompanying donor information. To allow us to identify your gift and send a tax receipt, you will need to provide us with the gift details, including the name of the stock, the number of shares, and the date of transfer. Please email this information to Marni Cherrin.

Step 2: Marni will provide you with our brokerage account information needed to process your stock transfer.

Recommend an IRA Distribution

If you are aged 70½ or older, there is greater flexibility with making a Qualified Charitable Distribution from your IRA to the National Ramah Commission. Please speak with your tax advisor about new opportunities that are available to you.

Please contact Marni Cherrin, Development Director, with any questions.

Legacy Giving

Legacy gifts, often referred to as planned gifts or estate gifts, are legal and financial commitments made by one who wishes to make a future gift to the National Ramah Commission.

There are many different kinds of legacy gifts. Legacy gifts can be as simple as a designation in your will or trust, or may be made through retirement plan assets, life insurance, a charitable gift annuity, or donor-advised fund. Please consult your attorney or tax advisor for professional guidance in this area.

To express your interest in exploring a legacy gift for the National Ramah Commission or to share that you have already made estate plans that include the National Ramah Commission, please contact Marni Cherrin, Development Director.
