National Ramah Tikvah Network:
Family Camps & Retreats
At Ramah California’s Camp Ohr Lanu, families come together for a retreat of study, prayer, respite, support, and fun in the beautiful hills of the Ojai Valley. Children with special needs ages 4 to 14, along with their parents and siblings, will enjoy specialized, therapeutic programming in a supportive environment. Ohr Lanu’s warm, caring staff includes trained special educators, behavior, and family education specialist, and individual counselors paired with each family. All campers will experience the fun of summer camp participating in activities such as drama, dance, music, and art and siblings will participate in their own group activities, helping create bonds in a supportive environment. Parents will engage in texts, networking, and relaxation. Together families will enjoy everything Camp Ramah offers: an Olympic size swimming pool, ropes course, hiking trails, and more.
Camp Yofi at Ramah Darom is a nationally recognized program designed for Jewish families with children ages 6 to 13 on the autism spectrum. This inclusive experience welcomes parents, siblings and grandparents. Camp Yofi is a supportive and joyful environment for all Jewish families. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains at Ramah Darom’s beautiful campus in Clayton, Georgia, the program features a wide range of activities such as singing, dancing, arts and crafts, climbing, sports, swimming and lake adventures.
Campers, siblings and parents enjoy separate programming tailored to their needs and family programs throughout the 5-day experience. Each child with autism is paired with a dedicated one-on-one companion, or "chaver," to ensure they have personalized support. Families also have the opportunity to learn Torah, enjoy respite and create lasting memories in a warm, Jewish atmosphere. And parents and grandparents can enjoy adult time in the evenings, while our trained staff watches children.
A highlight of the program is the Yofi B’nai Mitzvah celebration, where campers can mark this important milestone in a supportive, community-oriented setting, where the level of care and differentiation can be felt every moment.
Camp Yofi is an experience where bonds formed in five mere days last a lifetime, a place where the lives of the staff are forever changed.
