Amy Skopp Cooper, Chief Executive Officer

Prior to becoming CEO of the Ramah Camping Movement, Amy served as associate director from 2004-2021 and as director of the Ramah Day Camp in Nyack from 1997-2017. A graduate of Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Amy holds degrees in Jewish history and Jewish education. She received her master’s degree from Brandeis University in Jewish education and communal service and is a recipient of the 2011 Covenant Award for outstanding Jewish educators.


Jess Baden, Administrative and Marketing Coordinator

Jess Baden has spent her summers at Ramah Nyack since 2019. She graduated from The University of Connecticut in December 2023, with a BA in Human Development and Family Sciences.


Marni Cherrin, Director of Development

Marni’s passion for Ramah began at a young age when she spent her summers at Ramah Canada. Prior to joining the National Ramah Commission as the director of development, Marni spent 15 years at Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit, most recently as the director of annual giving. Marni and her husband Daniel are the parents of three proud Ramahniks. 


Erez Davids, Creative Manager

Erez worked at Ramah Nyack for many summers as a madrich, rosh keif and as a rosh edah. Originally from Westchester, Erez graduated from Binghamton University with a degree in graphic design and a minor in Israel studies and now lives in Brooklyn.


Maya Klareich, Program Director

Maya Klareich has spent her summers at Ramah California since 2008. She graduated from Brandeis University in May 2022, with a BA in Near Eastern and Judaic studies, and minors in anthropology and women’s, gender and sexuality studies.


Matt Levin, Chief Financial Officer

Matt has deep roots with Ramah, having been a camper at Ramah in Wisconsin and participating in Ramah Israel Seminar. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Boston University with a Bachelor's in Business Administration, concentrating in Accounting and Management Information Systems, where he also served as Treasurer for the Hillel. Later, Matt earned a Master's in Human Resource Management from New York University. He holds CPA and SHRM-SCP certifications and is a member of both the AICPA and SHRM, demonstrating his commitment to excellence in both accounting and human resources.


Dr. Daniel Olson, Assistant National Director

Daniel Olson completed his PhD in education and Jewish studies at NYU in 2020. He received the Harold Wechsler award for emerging scholars from the Network for Research in Jewish Education and is a Wexner Graduate Fellow/Davidson Scholar. He attended Ramah Wisconsin as a camper and worked for many summers in Tikvah.


Nancy Scheff, Director of Communications and Operations

Nancy started her career at the National Ramah Commission as communicatins director in 2002. She holds degrees from Harvard College and the Harvard University Graduate School of Education. Nancy is a proud Ramah alum, having been a Ramah Nyack camper, staff member, and parent, and a Ramah Berkshires parent.


Michael Vayda, Controller

Michael has been with National Ramah since the summer of 2013. Before joining Ramah, he served as the bursar for the five schools of The Jewish Theological Seminary. He is the proud parent of two Ramah Sports Academy alumni.

Rabbi Mitchell Cohen, Senior Advisor

Mitch is senior advisor to the National Ramah Commission, having served as the NRC director from 2003-2021. After graduating from Brown University, Mitch attended the NYU School of Law before enrolling in rabbinical school at JTS. He worked at Ramah California between 1979 and 1988 and served as director of Ramah Canada for 11 years, 1990-2000.


Maya Albin, Program Coordinator, National Ramah Tikvah Network

Maya, a speech-language pathologist (SLP), spent many summers at Ramah Canada as a camper and tzevet member. She also worked at Ramah Darom to help establish their vocational education program. Maya completed her BAH in psychology at Queen’s University, and her MSc in speech-language pathology at McMaster University.


Howard Blas, Senior Advisor, National Ramah Tikvah Network

Howard, a social worker and special education teacher by training, is senior advisor to the National Ramah Tikvah Network. Previously, he served for many years as the director of the National Ramah Tikvah Network and as the long-time director of the Ramah New England Tikvah program. He teaches Jewish studies and bar/bat mitzvah to students with a range of disabilities and “special” circumstances, leads disabilities trips to Israel, and writes regularly for many Jewish publications.


Adina Scheinberg, Program Director

Adina spent seven summers as a camper and five summers on tzevet (staff) at Ramah Berkshires, as well as participating in Ramah Seminar. Adina received her BA from Brandeis University in May 2021, where she majored in American studies and minored in legal studies, Near Eastern & Judaic studies, and history.


Dena Tolkin, Development Associate

After spending many summers at Jewish summer camp, Dena is excited to be a part of the Ramah Camping Movement. Dena is a proud graduate of Barnard College and she and her husband are the parents of two current and one future Ramah camper.


Hadassah Turk Tolub, Program Director

Starting at the age of four, Hadassah has spent her summers at Ramah Poconos, including thirteen as a camper and eight on staff. She graduated from The Jewish Theological Seminary and Columbia University with a BA in Bible and Psychology. During her time at JTS/Columbia, Hadassah was a Nachshon Undergraduate Fellow and was thrilled to continue as a Nachshon Graduate Fellow. Hadassah was graduated from the William Davidson School with a master’s degree in Jewish education, on the Educational Leadership track.
