Generous Grant Provides Significant Cost Reduction for Ramah Israel Seminar
Ramah is thrilled to announce that the cost of participation in Ramah Israel Seminar 2021 has been significantly reduced as part of RootOne, an exciting new initiative designed to bring many more teens to Israel! RootOne was seeded with a $20 million gift from The Marcus Foundation and is powered by The Jewish Education Project.
RootOne vouchers will lower the cost of Seminar 2021 by $3,000 for all participants. Additional financial assistance is available through Ramah for families who require greater assistance.
Seminar, one of only a few six-week teen programs in Israel, is the natural next step in the "ladder" of Ramah experiences, bridging the gap between camper and staff years. Seminar provides participants with a unique network of hundreds of Ramahniks with whom they will be connected during college and beyond, and nurtures their growth into leadership roles at Camp Ramah and their home communities. And in 2021, Seminar will enable the hundreds of Ramah campers who missed their final summer at camp in 2020 to reunite as an edah for one last shared camper experience. Thanks to RootOne, Seminar will be much more affordable, enabling even more Ramah graduates to connect with the land and people of Israel, strengthening their overall commitment to Israel and Judaism.
We are proud that Ramah is one of five youth serving organizations (including our partners at USY) working closely with RootOne in this groundbreaking effort to send more teens to Israel. We encourage families whose children are eligible for Seminar to visit seminar.ramah.org.il for additional information, or to contact our team at info@ramah.co.il.
With enormous gratitude toward the Marcus Foundation and The Jewish Education Project, we look forward to bringing hundreds more teens to Israel in the coming years.
