to Daniel Greyber, Camp Ramah in California's New Executive Director

Daniel
Greyber, a soon-to-be ordained rabbi currently studying at the Zeigler
School of Rabbinic Studies, has been appointed the new Executive
Director of Camp Ramah in California.
Dan
graduated from Northwestern University in 1994 with a Masters in
Speech and Communications Studies. He also holds a Bachelor of Science
in Speech from Northwestern.
Dan
is the founder and creator of LISHMA, a joint venture of the Ziegler
School of Rabbinic Studies and Camp Ramah in California. LISHMA is a
program where 18 young adult Jews engage in their own spiritual
exploration of traditional Jewish texts, practice and prayer in an
egalitarian environment. As a result of the success of the LISHMA
program, he was selected as a recipient of the Joshua Venture
Fellowship, which supports and trains emerging Jewish social
entrepreneurs to transform their visions into action. In addition, Dan
has served as rabbinic-intern at Sinai Temple and Temple Beth El in
Los Angeles, where he undertook many responsibilities. In 1998, Dan
received the Henry Fisher Award for outstanding achievement in Jewish
Studies at the University of Judaism (1998).
On
a completely different front, Dan was Captain of the United States
Swimming Team at the 1993 World Maccabiah Games and has written an
essay, “.08 of a Second.”
