News from Camp Ramah in the Berkshires
Spring 2001

Camp Program Expansion

  • Camp Ramah in the Berkshires has received a grant through the Foundation of Jewish camping for a Spielberg Fellow in Drama. This grant should enable us to enhance the camp’s Drama program.

  • Berkshires has hired a second person in music to further the program in camp. The music staff will now be able to create a small band and various singing programs.

  • Through the generous support of the Ramah Berkshires Alumni Association, camp will be able to further enhance our Outdoor Education Program.

Enrollment for Summer 2001

  • Enrollment continues to be strong. There are some openings for entering 4th graders and for the August session for children entered grades 5, 6 and 7.

Staff Announcements

  • Rabbi Amy Roth, a veteran Ramahnik, has been appointed Assistant Director for Camp Ramah in the Berkshires. Amy has been an advisor to camp for many years. We welcome Amy to her new position!

Annual Dinner

  • Our annual dinner and dance was held on Sunday, March 11th. We honored Congressman Jerrold Nadler, Rabbi Kenneth Berger and Alumna Beth Mann.
